Shaquille Benjamin Brewster was born on January 6, 1993, in New York City.
He was raised by his mother, Sandy Peters (née Riley). He has a stepfather, Sean Peters.
Shaquille has a younger sister, Tracie Slade.
He grew up in Stratford, Connecticut, and went to the Frank Scott Bunnell High School.
After graduating from high school, Shaquille relocated to Washington DC, where he attended Howard University from 2010 to 2014. He graduated with a degree in Broadcast Journalism and Political Science. While at Howard University, he was the Student Affairs Director and the School of Communications Student Council. He was also the leader of the campus television network.
